All couriers — except those using e-bikes — must have Hire and Reward insurance, which is a legal requirement for anyone delivering goods in exchange for payment.

If you’re eligible, you can choose to opt in to Relay’s optional top-up Hire and Reward insurance, provided by Aviva. This can be arranged directly through us during onboarding.

To use the Aviva top-up insurance, you’ll need to already have your own Social, Domestic & Pleasure (SD&P) insurance. 🚗
This is your standard personal vehicle policy and is legally required for any vehicle that hasn’t been declared off-road. The Aviva cover only applies during the business-use portion of your driving — specifically while delivering for Relay.

🚴‍♂️ E-bike couriers don’t need Hire and Reward or SD&P insurance, but your vehicle must still meet local road safety and compliance standards.
